Landscape design styles

A large-scale investment in the arrangement of summer residence does not always guarantee the creation of a unique style. Flowerbeds planted in a chaotic order, out of place streamlets indicate tastelessness, incorrect selection of contractors and savings on professional designers. To eliminate problems in the future, it is recommended to study thoroughly the first question - what exactly should the style of the suburban area be like, and how will it stand out among similar objects? Just worth mentioning that a landscape design is created relying on the material capabilities of the owner, but even with small finances there is a place for creativity.

Classical design

Development of this type of landscape design should be based on exceptionally exact symmetry. It will be necessary to make efforts to select the places of planting shrubs properly, bringing them to a single "style standard". Visually, such areas look very well groomed, but sometimes it seems that all the plantings on them is fake. In case of designing large areas, all the features of the style are revealed. In most cases, there is a pond or a fountain in the central part of the composition. Designers rely on different shades, but prefer to focus on soft and light colors. Among the design elements, a large number of items made of stone and wood can be identified. All separate facilities must be allocated in a single tone, no color differences are allowed. As concerns plantings, maples, phloxes, and roses are ideal variants. For a change, such areas can be decorated with small vases and sculptures.

English Design

In contrast to the classical, English design provides a reverent attitude to natural resources and their minimal change. A characteristic feature is the naturalness, despite the fact that the lawn is plain and beautiful, the work of the gardener is not very noticeable. To this effect, some disorder with the help of garden paths is created. Such a design should be used for large objects, and if a cottage site is relatively small, it is recommended to use only one of the compositions. Special attention should be paid to a creation of a garden on the roof of the house, for which an unconventional choice of design elements and plantings is important. Flowers should be divided in separate groups, and if the size of the site allows, a small pond with water lilies can be arranged in the central part.

Country style

The development of rural design is typical for country fans. It is popular due to its simplicity and the use of a minimum number of different design elements. Ultimately, such a site will remind a ranch, a small village in medieval style. It is ideal for any site, regardless of the area or lay. It is also allowed to use the territory for garden work and for a good rest. Wood materials are used; the simplest plants and trees are planted. Barrels and small shafts can also be located on the courtyard in order to make the site bright.

High tech

A distinctive feature of the hi-tech style is the use of modern materials to equip the residential yard. With its help, a site of any size can be made. For example, the tracks can be equipped with gravel of light color, and the general color scale should be based on silvery and gold tints. Various lamps can be used in this style (the best option is if they are light-emitting diodes). Attention is focused on abstractions, products of standard forms and colors are not used. Special attention should be paid to an arrangement of glass and metal figures on the site.

Cottage site in Japanese style

A relatively new-fashioned trend - the Japanese style in the design of a cottage site. It is characterized by lightness and simplicity. Despite this fact each composition has a peculiar hidden meaning. Such a site will be an indispensable option for those who prefer not just to enjoy a beautifully tended area, but also to contemplate their acres. Preference in the selection of plantings is given to trees that have crowns in the form of a hill. Moreover, it is possible to add softwoods.
